Waqrapukara
Waqrapukara, meaning “Horned Fortress” in Quechua, is one of Cusco’s hidden treasures. Located at over 4,300 meters (14,100 ft), this impressive archaeological site features ceremonial platforms, terraces, and niches dramatically positioned on a cliff overlooking the Apurímac Canyon.
