Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel for a comfortable transfer to Sillustani. As you leave the city, enjoy scenic views of the Altiplano — a vast, open landscape dotted with farms, small villages, and traditional stone houses. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the region’s history, agriculture, and daily life.

2:45 PM: Arrival at Sillustani Archaeological Complex
Upon arrival, begin a guided tour of the site. Walk among the chullpas — massive cylindrical funerary towers built by the pre-Inca Colla people and later adapted by the Incas. Learn about the construction techniques, symbolic designs, and spiritual beliefs that inspired these monuments.
Your guide will also explain the strategic significance of the site’s location, offering spectacular views of Lake Umayo, whose serene waters and surrounding mountains create a mystical backdrop for the ancient towers.

3:45 PM: Lake Umayo Viewpoint and Surroundings
Take a short walk to a viewpoint where you can admire the full expanse of Lake Umayo and the Sillustani peninsula. On clear days, you can see the surrounding Andean peaks and possibly spot native birdlife such as Andean geese and flamingos.

4:15 PM: Free Time for Exploration and Photos
Enjoy time at your leisure to wander the site, take photos of the chullpas against the dramatic sky, or simply reflect on the peaceful atmosphere. You may also browse small artisan stalls near the entrance, where locals sell handcrafted souvenirs.

4:45 PM: Return Drive to Puno
Relax on the return drive as the late afternoon light bathes the highlands in golden hues. Your guide may point out interesting sites or stop briefly for photos if time permits.

5:30 PM: Arrival at Your Hotel or City Center
Drop-off at your hotel or another central point in Puno. End of the tour.
